Do you want to get outdoors with your children in Southern California? Me too. I’m a homeschooling mom of four children who loves sharing tips about our adventures, from popular sites to hidden gems.

I grew up near the beaches of Los Angeles, but stayed inside as much as I could. It wasn’t until adulthood that I learned to appreciate the benefits of being outside in nature, and all that Southern California has to offer us (and to be honest, some days it still takes a bit of convincing to get me out of the comforts of my home!)

Now I’m determined to help my own children appreciate and learn more about nature than I ever did as a child. We love exploring new places and revisiting old favorites.

I’ve sure learned a lot from other families who explore outside, so it’s a joy to share our adventures on Instagram and this web site, in the hopes that other families might discover some new places to explore or encounter resources to help them understand the nature of Southern California.
